Young Experts in Science (YES) Meetings

The Young Experts in Science (YES) Meeting is an annual event sponsored by Johnson & Johnson EMEA, designed to support specialists at the early stages of their careers in prostate cancer treatment.

The programme focuses on developing a broad range of skills that enhance patient care. Now in its third consecutive year, the meeting brings together delegates from across the EMEA region for a tailored, interactive agenda curated by our Scientific Committee, fostering scientific exchange at a regional level.

Meeting Highlights

The most recent meeting was held in Prague, Czech Republic on Monday 18 November and Tuesday 19 November, with participation from 35 delegates representing ten EMEA countries. The agenda included sessions led by a Scientific Panel comprising of seven experts from various fields, who presented on topics relevant to the daily responsibilities of prostate cancer specialists.

The objectives for the 2024 meeting were identified by our Scientific Committee:

Interpret statistical data to support clinical practice and treatment decisions
Understand latest clinical developments in prostate cancer treatments
Debate clinically relevant data/hot topics with peers

Highlights of the two-day agenda included:

The latest advancements in prostate cancer treatment, providing delegates with essential updates to help optimise therapeutic approaches and improve patient outcomes
Workshops on communicating complex scientific information, focusing on how to transform detailed data into clear, concise, and memorable narratives across various formats tailored to specific audiences
Sessions on interpreting clinical papers in prostate cancer, guiding participants through the analysis of study design, statistical methods, and results to better understand their relevance and application in clinical practice
Exploration of AI in prostate cancer care and research, examining how artificial intelligence can enhance patient management and treatment strategies, while also considering future developments and ethical implications

YES Meeting 2025
